Supplemental Materials
Accessibility Guide
During my internship at the Allentown Art Museum, my main project was creating a guide for the museum to aid in the support of museum goers with Autism. It provides a walkthrough of the museum for parents and children to read through in preparation for their trip to the museum. It includes people they may meet, what they may see, and simple rules for being at an art museum. This was made in conjunction with the visual supports and sensory guide below.
Visual Supports
This support guide allows museum visitors who benefit from speech supports to have access to words or phrases they may need during their trip to the museum.
Sensory
Map
The last of my supplemental materials for the Allentown Art Museum, this is a sensory friendly map of the museum that outlines the quietest areas of the museum where a museum goer can get some time to de-escalate and the pieces in the museum that can be touched in place of touching a priceless piece of artwork.
